Transmitter

Field Station

The KRN network-side station role for transmitting identity, timing, groups, and pages.

Field Station is the infrastructure side of KRN: the device role that publishes the network state and sends pages to Herald-class receivers.

Current Firmware

  • Continuous KRN-P v0.1 Traffic Control Frames and scheduled Text Page transmission.
  • Per-slot queues with ephemeral, normal, and resilient delivery profiles.
  • USB serial control for page submission, queue inspection, and transmitter or traffic suspension.

The firmware is under active test on KRN Sled 1 while dedicated Field Station hardware is developed.
